Closer from below - hard to explain how much effort it took to take this simple shot with a fully manual oldschool non-waterproof analog gear that needs a tripod (infrared film rated to ASA6, yes, same as ISO6), while it's so much water in the air. I had to setup the camera and tripod under my wet t-shirt to save the camera from drowning. Split second later frame & focus it, then cover it again, clean off all the water from lens. Spotmeter the scene carefully and then quickly uncover and take a shot. I was completely soaked wet till underware myself while doing all this.

A river in the jungle - one of many you need to cross over the big rocks and boulders. The streams are very fast in the mountanous jungle.

Organic living on the ricefield - no the horizon is not wrong (see the palmtrees or the vertical walls of the huts), it's on the slope of a volcano.

That's the dreamland (for me at least - a true analog [film] signature - just by a simple scan, no digital BSing or faking with simulating or emulating with software)

Small hinduist shrines where the field workers can go to pray - it's very important part of the local culture and they spend a lot of time praying.

The temples becoming visible.

It's unique architecture. The roof represents different levels, steps into the heavens. The most powerful God is on top.

In the Garden.

Allright guys, looks like I've bored you to sleep with all those b&w analog film pictures. I'll now turn off the scanner and get back into the real digital photography - "the latest and the greatest" gizmo race with everyting more automatic by the day, from remote shutters, face or even closed-eyes detection to shake stabilization and automatic horizon levelling.

Ride safe,
Margus

Hi Margus -

Amazing photography. It's nice to see the old school images. Thanks for your efforts to bring them to us.

Not bored at all. While I don't comment a lot, i've been following this thread for a long time and I've thoroughly enjoyed all the photographic techniques you've demonstrated. I also appreciate the excellent explanations accompanying the photos.

Regards, Wayne
