Welder needed in San Jose to fix foot peg bracket
Hey guys.
We are looking for a welder in the San Jose area that will be available first thing Wednesday morning (7-1-09) My wife had a parking lot drop on her Ninja 650R today. When it fell, it snapped off the the mounting tabs off where the right rider foot peg attaches. We managed to JB weld it for a couple hours, but it broke off later again. We are in San Jose this evening and would just like to find a welder tomorrow that can fix the tabs (we have all the pieces) or just fab something to get us by for the rest of our trip. The 650R has one continuous rear set that includes the rider & passenger pegs. Also, her SW-motech luggage attaches to this, so we can't just get rid of the rear set. I doubt anyone is going to stock this part. You can see the rearset is one huge piece ![]() Here's pics of the break and Sarah holding the pieces back in their spot. ![]() This is what it looked like when it broke again. We have the small piece also that is missing in this picture.

Hey, sorry it took so long to reply, but our wireless has been limited with the camping.
I did want to give a big thumbs up to Brian and his crew at Advanced Welding. They hooked us up the next morning and did a superb job and they were finished by the time we had breakfast and came back.
