What you can't see in this photo is the sign that says "Store Hours, 11 - 8 everyday" on this little cabin. Jason will post pics that show some of the rest of the ride in a bit.

I like to call this one: "Wilderness Exploration in a Horizontal Plane"

She saw the moose and took off through the woods after it like an Irish setter. One that chases moose, of course, but not quite as graceful. I missed the moose, only got its tracks:

OK, not that I'm making excuses, or anything, but the 1150GS is not quite as nimble, as, say, an Irish setter. Stagehand was busy setting up a shot of himself doing a triple gainer off his motorcycle, so he didn't notice when the moose started charging. I selflessly and courageously tried to place my motorcycle and myself between him and his excellent photo opportunity. Of course, he suggested that perhaps it wasn't a moose, per se, but a bunch of mud that a moose had walked through that led me to drive off into the woods horizontally, but I'm sticking to my story. We have photographic proof that there was indeed a moose here at some point.

Wasn't too hard to find but I also got pretty lucky. I found fox Hill Road in Google Earth. Saw that it ran West to East from the Great Sacandaga Res over to Lake Desolation. I hadn't done that route in a long time so once I got the necessary work done at the shop I figured I'd head up that way and see what happens... I was putting along Fox Hill Road and spotted that 'road'... actually went past it the first time. Ddn't see any others that looked promising so I swung around and headed up. After that first 1000 feet it got a little less rocky so I kept going. I followed my rule of always bearing to the right when in unkown woods like that and after about 3.5 miles jackpot! LOL'd at the newspaper box on the side of the building. I'd like to be their paperboy! Wished I was on the WR a few times but even with a completely shot rear tire, the Tiger soldiered on!

And there it is!

Now I need to try and find a suitable place to drop the next one! Nice placement there Stagey, that was fun!

New Tag

Doubt if any clues will be needed for this one. This dirt road goes for almost nine miles before you get to the east shore of Lake George. The tag spot is about 5 miles in. Go all the way to the end and there's some nice camping spots, fishing, swimming, hiking etc. Bring your trunks!
