Got it!

Its along Hawkin Road on the Colliers Mills Wildlife Management Area. I know that area well and immediately recognized the house that I passed hundreds and hundreds of times when i used to pheasant hunt there. I also taught Hunters Education Classes there for years as a volunteer. Hence, my concern when Sally Dog "gave it up" as they say in my business.

When I got up I checked the page thinking for sure that one ot he locals would have snagged it ot someone would have run with Sally Dogs "clue."

An assist has to go to Mrs. Whiskey Tango for getting the email and GSjr. for the uploading.

FOOTNOTE: This is my first tag in the new SOUTH JERSEY TOR; and my first tag with the brand spanking new Concours 14 and ... it's my birthday!

New Tag New Tag New Tag

Smoke 'em if you got 'em - and if you don't, just go into this fine shop and get yourself some. Grab a bite at the very nice place next door while you are at it.

>1 Bad Habit gave me a cigar as my prize for The Bruse yesterday morning at the Garden State TOR in the woods. See post #6673 http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...78553&page=445

Guess I had cigars on my mind this morning.

If you stop into the cigar store and see either Jeff Sr. or Jeff Jr., tell them I sent you!

That's GSjr in the picture.

Happy Birthday!!
It was an easy find once figuring out colliers mills. Type colliers mills or colliers mills house and either will display a pic of the house its self. I looked for almost an our for in depth history and the only thing I could find were bits and pieces in various books like History of the pines and the like.
Its a Wildlife Management Area used by allot of people in the area. Can't any significant info on the house. Any that has anything please add it.

Happy B-Day Whiskey Tango! Can you share your first thoughts bout the Concours. Before getting hooked on the dirt I was thinking this will be my next bike, this one or FJR.

In ten words or less - it's like a big sport bike.

I've been riding Harleys for years (and will continue to do so) and had an '05 Concours 1000 so the advice and concerns about it being heavy or top-heavy didn't bother me but i was ready for it. Then, after riding it just for a few short and easy miles I realized that it does not heavy or top-heavy. It feels like a sport bike only bigger.

The riding position is much more "standard" than a sport bike (thank fully - for me, anyway) but does have your feet up reasonably high (not uncomfortably though) and your hands do have some weight on the bars - but not as much as a sport bike.

I wanted a bike that was big, fast and could handle road trips seeing as the Fat Boy is replacing the Electra Glide. I wanted a Sport-Touring bike with the empasis on sport. I wanted something that would have the performance of the R1200GS I just traded and the road-ability of the Electra Glide all the while being able to keep up with my first son on his Buell and some guys we "sport ride' with. Other bikes I considered was the FJR, ST1300, BMW "K" and "R" models as well as the new (07 & later) Triumph Tiger which is not a dual purpose bike and was a serious second contender for me.

The Concours 14 does it all. It's fast, comfortable, big-road/big-trip capable, handles, stops and is FAST. The technology, fit finish and overall quality compared to my beloved '06 Connie 1000 is remarkable. Read the latest edition of Cycle World. The Concours won best sport tourer and in a head-to-head with the BMW K $whatever$ sport touring bike spanked it.

I have a 30" inseam, weight 210 and find the ground just fine. I can throw the bike around tight twisties without effort - again, compared to what I am used to. Everything is relative. The guys on the R6s and their cousins and what-not are probably laughing at my comments but for the power, acceleration, comfort, big-road/big-trip ability, it's an outsized sport bike that a fify-ONE (b-day today) year old can ride for hours!

I really like the Concourse, if I was in the market for a road burner with all day comfort that would be it for sure.
I know my license would not last long though......that's the problem.
I had a ZX-11 back in 94, I loved that bike.
