Domino Rally 15th 16th November 2014

We revived the Domino last year and held it at Angusvale which is off to the right when travelling on the road from the Princes Highway to Dargo. There is a turn off to the right, sign posted "Angusvale" which is easy to miss but is about 13 k's north of the Bridge over Iguana Creek Bridge on the Dargo Road. The camp site is to die for. Lots of Roos wandering about. Tons of space on the river. Dunnies, fireplaces and not so many people touring through. We'll be there Friday night and Saturday. Most will go home Sunday. There will be some pairs of Jeans for the Eastern Bloc Motorcycles to demonstrate their awesome power when trying to tear them apart, which is the theme for this Rally.

Eastern Bloc Motorcycles. If you have one bring it along. Awards will only be given out to Eastern Bloc Motorcycles but all makes are welcome.

All punters whom attended last year agreed it was a terrific Rally site with a great all weather dirt Road to come in on.

Adventurous Riders can easily plan tricky rides in as there are more ways in than the main drag in to the Rally site.

Cheers,

Doonie.

Coming in from the North means coming in from Dargo. That means over the Dargo High Plains Road, or through Wonnangatta Valley or in from Omeo then down.

From Canberry, make your way to Kiandra then over to Corryong, follow the scenic Murray Valley hwy to just past Tallangata, turn left on Kiewa Valley hwy (C533) but after half a k there's a T junction, go left then right (dog-leg) onto Gundowring Rd, runs the same as the keiwa valley hwy but on the opposite side of the river, no cops, no traffic, quiet......follow till the end and it joins up again with the main Keiwa valley hwy, then look out for Tawonga Gap rd on your right. Follow till the end, turn left and you're heading for Hotham on the Great Alpine Rd, look out for dargo high plains rd on your right.

Which bike might you ride Davo?

Kiewa Valley Hwy is C531 Tom, spent time down there recently, did the Omeo Hwy [C543],

through Mitta Mitta & Anglers Rest, all tar now, plenty of twists & turns, beautiful run but not time effective if you're traveling in a hurry
Cheers

The Terra Tom

What a good idea - I love old retired folk, they have the luxury to think things through. I have tony on my tail. It's cruel - but this is likely to be my next rally.

Maxing out up the $uper nailing the mortgage - this too shall pass.
Inspired - I will get my map out and XXX out a week or 2 in November to mingle with the commoners down south.

I could be tempted to do this one myself, but just plugging along around 80 - 90kph on the XR. I haven't been to the rally site, and I haven't been down that way for over a year, it's lovely riding country.
