looks a lot like a late 1940's/early 1950's British bike. it's got telescopic forks and a rigid frame, guards, tank and seat look BSA-ish but Matchless, AJS, Norton all had similar tank decals and knee rubbers.

oh yeah Mr Gra that seat does not look original to anything, maybe a later 1950's AJS 650, they're the only bike i can think of that had a seat like a two upholstered phone books.
