You may catch some grief over this post..... I have, as well as many others on this site, posted the same question. I would love to have a definitive answer on this as well. As soon as the start selling them here (USA) I will be selling my GSA and use it for everything.... hopefully they will also resolve any EFI glitches.

Think of the bike as being a "transformer" - make your own...

I would think your best bet would be to ask KTM dontcha think? I'm sure they will be happy to give you all the details.

In this economy? Don't hold your breath. Get a 690E/R and make it your own.

there is now a Mecca systems rally kit with aux front and rear tanks, different exhaust, lights, fairing etc...cost about $4000. or you can pay about $600 and get the aux front tank from aqualine...there is the above fairing available and there are plenty of other DIY options out there.

not to mention

with KTM withdrawing from the Dakar - do you really think the R&D that DAKAR provides will flow on to the public.. 640ADV and 950ADV sold well partly due to people wanting that DAKAR look... which may now be lost forever for KTM....

Get a 640ADV or a 690R and make your own...

Joe

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"

Wouldn't be too worried about that. KTM is heavily involved with various offroad programs to include World Rally, etc. The Dakar officials screwed the pooch with the last minute change in the rules re: displacement. Cool event, piss poor management though.
