my mistake they do both have main and pilot jets. ....but there is an extra jet in the first carb.....maybe a coasting enrichener that someone told me about

Here is the plan.... i checked all the jet sizes....the pilot jets were (2) 22.5 and the main jets were (1) 145 and (1) 150. And the extra jet only in one of the carbs that i think was a coasting enrichener was a 55.

I think i will go with two 155 mains and pilots at 27.5 which is two sizes up from stock. Then i will add the enrichener up to 60 and enrichen the needle by one clip to start then two if nessecary.

I am ordering tonight....any imput from people experienced in jetting would be much appriciated.

Keep it out of the dirt if you use them K&N styled filter.
Be better off with Foam uni filters and good heavy oil, the oil will repel most of the water, and keep out dirt.

Got the filters on and ready...just waiting on the jets and hopefully it will be good to go. Got these filters on ebay for @ 20 bucks. Foam would have filtered better but im using this bike on the road so i think this should filter out just fine. There seems to be a foam layer inside the steel mesh anyways.

The extra jet in the main carb is the starting jet...helps the bike start by richening the fuel mixture i guess, this is what the choke does anywaz...so i want this very rich to give my bike an easy start, i went up two sizes on this jet

Nice filters!

... but beware, you're going to be running REALLY lean with a setup like that unless you have some bigassed jets installed.

When i tested it with no filters on it was very lean but also cut out on me. When i was coming to a stop and it was going to idle it just died. I was thinking it could be because the main jet is too small...this happend on my kx85 when i bored it out and a bigger main solved the problem...what do you think?
