At a guess I'd say they drop the jets down into the fuel in the float bowls. So they suck fuel -not air.

took it for a test drive today and it started popping again so i adjusted the mixture screw to where it doesnt pop at all. I think it may even be a little rich since it has a delay to idle after a rev. So i guess i just have to dial it in now. The carb was leaking from the drain when i was trying to start it though...not sure if this is normal or the float may be getting stuck...

Got it dialed in just about right to where it idles good and doesnt backfire through the pipe or carb....problem is it is not consistant, after a ride it will change and need to be adjusted again...Plus the mixture screw has to be turned out almost all the way, i think its supposed to be around 2.5 to 3 turns out or i need a richer needle? Anyone second this? If how do i tell what needle i have?
Need some ideas here... |

You need a bigger idle jet if you need to screw your CO-screw (gasscrew) fo far out.
As always, do the adjusment on a warm bike. |

its not the gas screw....its the fuel mixture screw...i put a larger main, pilot, and starter jet in the bike already...i think it may need a richer needle but i cant find what size i have now. should it be written on the needle like the jets?

Got it dialed in almost perfect now...went for a long ride and its riding real nice, sounds good too...just need one size richer on my needles since i am 5 and 1/4 turns out on the mixture screw...
![]() Besides that anyone doing the conversion can put these jets i listed straight in and it should be pretty close, depending on where you live. I am in FL, so right on sea level and HOT. |

You should Google "Raptor carb jetting" or something along those lines to see if you can find a Raptor rider's site with information about the jets.
