How lucky am ???

My girlfriend taking a rest after a day of riding

Also, need advice. Last night she told me that she would rather me buy her a bike instead of an engagement ring and we would just buy bands. I was pretty sure she was the one for me before that but that statement may have just sealed the deal....so....today I priced out a 2012 F650GS for her. Feel free to chime in with your input....I would love to hear it.

Also, for our Easter weekend, we are doing a three day ride to Deal's Gap / Tail of the Dragon (her idea) and this will be her first time riding it....should be fun.

Better tie the knot before she changes her mind. Sounds like a keeper, preferring a bike instead of a diamond.

She is just smart, if it doesn't work out the bike is more practical and probably worth more than a 2nd hand ring

It aways costs money but money for a bike is money well spent!

Problem with horses is you have to feed them whether you ride them or not and the maintenance (veterinarians) can be mega bucks.

I here you buddy, you haven’t even mentioned the board, feed supplements, clothing for the horse and her, farrier. I think this is why nothing is said when I spend money on the bikes

OH!!! I am So there!!! I am riding from Nampa Idaho down to Braselton GA (Road Atlanta) and I will most certainly make a pass (or three) through the Cherohala Skyway!

This is me at the Dragon way back in 2006. Note: Everything in the photo except the helmet was purchased on eBay
leathers, gloves, boots, bags and Busa

And since this thread is "Bikes AND Wives" I will put this one right here

Okay - I'll ask for everyone else. Does she have a sister? Cousin?

Congrats and good luck!

Bikes depreciate quickly and get used up and sold. Wives and nice jewelry appreciate and last a lifetime or more. I wouldn't forgoe the nice ring. That's a once in a lifetime purchase, for a once in a lifetime woman. You'll have many bikes.
