You guys or gals with riding, or at least understanding, spouses are very fortunate for what you have. I brought home a KLR and might have an engagement ring for sale soon.

At least a KLR costs less than a ring

You're probably better off finding it our now rather than after getting married. If mine had said no to riding and purchasing motorcycles, it would not have been a deal breaker, but I would always have harbored at least a little resentment. Fortunately, she loves to ride and ride with me.

I am very lucky, and yes, I did marry well.

I hate to hear things like that, but if that's truly the case, better now than later.

It'll save you a lot of time and money.

I agree you have to be able to do what you want to do within reason. Surely owning a motorcycle is within reason? you could resent her otherwise.

I have the opposite problem !!!! but it is a nice problem, come a sunny Saturday/Sunday my wife is saying "shall we go on the bikes?". I like riding she loves it.

I hate to tell you this, but go ahead and sell that ring. You are fast on your way to starring in the crazy ex girlfriend/wife thread.

If a woman is against you pursuing something that enriches your life, then then she will stomp on other dreams as well. It isn't about the motorcycle, it is about control, and she is going to want all of it.

You should check out this thread.

count your blessings - it is a lot cheaper to get out now than later! and life is far too long to live miserably, not doing what you want...

Hahaha. Nope, she hates any bike. Got downright pissed about it. Oh well, such is life. Thanks for all the advice guys. Plus, she doesn't want to move to Alaska which is my dream for the past 4 years. Better now than later. You guys are good for all kinds of advice.
