First offroad ride - KLR in Townsville, Oz

Mad Galah took me for a run out at Mount Louisa on Sunday. Hadn't taken the KLR off road, so was good to give it a bash.

He took this short clip at an old quarry. (Just testing if it works)

The track in was a nicely rutted out dirt trail. Started with some higher speed open gravel hard pack, then led into washouts & ruts. After the quarry we ducked over into a dirt bike fun ground, laden with sand traps, ruts, little rolling hills (About 100m of them one after another) and little ledges about 2ft high. 1 in particular let me get Luci airborne nicely

Luci did get a little tired at one stage, and when her front tyre went onto a tree branch lying over the track (half covered in bull dust) half way round a corner, she put her front left shoulder down & had a nap... Bent the stock bars & broke the end off the clutch lever. No other real damage, so pretty happy. Good excuse for some new Pro Taper bars anyway

Good to hear mate. Met young Barra the other week too.

Looks like there are a couple of us ADVers around da Ville now...
