New Victory

Any news of a new Victory being introduced? Perhaps at Sturgis, isn't this about the time they introduce their anchor of the year.

Maybe they'll have some really high-tech gimmick like mid-controls this year!!!

too funny!

I wish they would introduce a bike with mid-controls but I doubt they would considering their target market.

I've just done a fortnight on a 09 Vegas 8 Ball. I'd buy one. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was thinking maybe a rigid frame and a wooden seat.

I marvel at the ingenuity and technology that went into it.
It makes a MotoGP bike look like some cheap Chinese import.
I am humbled by its awesomeness.

doG damn! That thing is gorgeous!!!! Somehow reminds me of Chip Foose.
Perfectly flowing lines, some technology for a change rather than the usual powder coated, high necked, long legged POS. Wouldn't surprise me if it actually handled as well. Would I ride it cross country? Probably not but I would certainly ride the thing a couple of tank's worth on smooth roads and a pretty Sunday. That seat is certainly lacking in upholstery but looks to be anatomically well shaped. Might surprise you in re comfort.

If I could afford it, I would own it.

Ok, off topic here.

The title "New Victory" sounds like the title of a robo anime with giant shiny robots fighting huge monsters with lumpy skin.

The chopper market is getting soft. They better start moving outside it. A revamp of the ass end of the Vision would be a good place to start. A naked Vision with mid-controls, like the Harley Davidson Fat Bob, might be a good start. Maybe they should consider a smaller motor, too. For a beginner and flat tracker/street fighter series of bikes.

They'll likely go where the money is and in this economy it isn't.

Not afraid of anything just thought it was time they named a bike "Anchor". May fit better than some of their other labels.

Yeah.. It's a beautiful design exercise... I reall like the lines...

As far as handling, I'd have to see the backbone and how the steering stem is attached in a better, up close photo. Something tells me it would handle like a flexible flyer if pushed hard. The lack of any rear suspension sure wouldn't help it any, either...

Considering Polaris is primarily a recreational vehicle company (snowmobiles and ATV's) I really don't know why they don't get into the dirt bike/dual sport market. It's really where their demographic is. I like Victory's, but they aren't going to beat HD, or even Honda at the cruiser game.
