Calling all XL+ riders

Hi all,

If you're interested in these shorts but need a size bigger than Large (34-36), head on over to this thread and let them know what your waist size is! They have committed to making some XLs and maybe XXXLs

XL & XXLs now available

Hi all,

I promised to let you know when the XL (36-38) and XXL (38-40) sizes would be available. They are now available. They only made a limited run though to see if there's enough demand for these sizes, 10 each. So if you're interested, don't delay. If there is enough demand, they'll make more of these sizes in January.

Padding in Riding Shorts.

LDComfort makes your size.

http://ldcomfort.com/store/mens-riding-shorts/

Also: Riding in the heat up to 120 degrees is not a problem for LDComfort. Our dual layer fabric is meant to keep your skin dry. Padding should not be stuffed into your underpants when you ride on a motorcycle. Padding should be a function of the seat/saddle. Trapping moisture against your skin with a foam pad can hurt you in the long run. Millions of miles riden by thousands of riders have proven this true.

I want you to enjoy every mile. :)

Having ridden thousands of miles myself in the SitRelief shorts I respectfully disagree. But then both of us have conflicts of interest in making these statements.

Would be great if a neutral third party with real world experience with these products would chime in. Otherwise perhaps it should be off to Vendors.

transparency in dealings

When I first posted this in July, I was simply a satisfied customer with no conflict of interest. Once I invested in the privately held company in September, I disclosed that in a posting on this thread. Does that invalidate my earlier positive comments?

Assuming you truly managed to go from "no conflict of interest" to "investor" in a couple of months, then no. However, still have seen no corroborating evidence from anyone else. That's what I'm looking for to make the thread useful.

Perhaps that is true and I love you just the same. Here is a place where we have an opportunity to salute each other and our efforts.

With all due respect, enjoy every mile. :)

Hi Js,
As I first noted in the first sentence of my first post "A friend of mine has developed some underwear that really increase sitting comfort on long rides (at least they do for me)."

I've known Terry Delonas for over 30 years now and he is a good friend of mine. We've had many adventures, some epic, over the years. But that's another story. I offered to spread the word about his shorts because they truly worked for me and I thought the riding community could benefit from knowing about them. At least those of us with lean backsides So when they needed funds for a second manufacturing run I offered to help and, in return, bought into the company. It's a win-win for me and his company.

Certainly somebody on the board has purchased a pair by now? I also am looking for some comments from folks here (or elsewhere if you've posted about the shorts and received feedback on another forum).

Patience, patience.

Terry D., the founder of Lipowear has received lots of positive comments from motorcycle riders that they've posted on their website. I've asked him to see if any of them are on this forum and can add their two cents. That may take a while though.

I'd never heard of these things until I just found this thread.

That doesn't mean that they're not a good product, but from what I've read it's just they aren't typically marketed to motorcycle riders and few have tried them at this point.

But...

Via con dios!

That's because they just came out this summer and the company is a small start-up. I recommended they consider the m/c market (see my first post) in July and they've been marketing a bit to riders on Facebook but they simply haven't had the $$ to do a big ad campaign.

shorts now in XL, XXL, and women specific sizes

Hi all,

The makers of these shorts have replenished their inventory of XL and XXL shorts for men and finally have been able to make some women specific shorts (sizes & fit). Their new website for non-health oriented users (like us) is http://www.sitrelief.com
