Do you have any kind of cylindrical bags as a regular item? Some might use them for tents, sleep pads and such. I'm looking for something to hold a camera tripod, about 30" long, 5" in diameter with a drawstring closure at one end, with an internal flap, and a strap running lengthwise to carry it over my shoulder. Looking at what all you've done, I know you can do it. Can you give me an idea of cost made out of heavy Cordura?
THANKS!

I need to place an order for a bag to put my sleeping pad in. Scootac read my mind. My only question before I give you the details is ....How tuff is the waterproof material compared to your standard stuff. P.S. My standard 1550 liner is nice, but my "super custom" 1550 liner is awsome.

Waterproof Material Update

Here's a bit of an update on the waterproof material I have been working with. The material is considerably thinner (200D) than Cordura (1000D) which is a concern. My fear is that it won't hold up in the long run.

Because this material has a heat sealable liner on the inside, it is "sticky". I put together a cylinder bag and had a hard time stuffing my nylon tarp into it because of it.

Trying to seal the seams was another challenge. It sealed up with an iron as advertised, but only consistently on straight seams. Seams with a radius, (i.e. bottom of a cylinder bag) the material needs to bunch up and I was not able to get the material to seal up 100%.

So, bottom line..... My search continues. I'll continue to look for another heavier duty waterproof material that I can use for those that are interested in 100% waterproof.

Keep in mind that the Cordura that I use is coated on the inside and is highly water resistant. If exposed to an all day rain, you may see a slight penetration of moisture mostly on the seams. A little tent seam sealer would make a tremendous difference.

If anyone has any other questions, feel free to PM me.

Thanks!

Looks even better loaded up!!! I enjoy seeing my product "in the field". Looks like everything is packed and ready to go! Glad you like the bags! I'm still working on the 100% waterproof material as I mentioned in the post above. Stay posted!

This guy read my mind so well I will use his quote. I want one for my sleeping pad. Drawstring with internal flap sounds good, I DON'T want carry strap. Same material & color as my 1550 liners. My rolled up sleeping pad measures 26" long with a circumfrance of 15 1/2". Let me know if you need more info. I also want 2 liners for the agri tool tubes & one 24" tool roll. All the same color please.

corrado113, have you ever made a sort of mini-bag/pouch that could be attached to the top of a tank bag for quick and easy access to a digital camera?
