LOL Doc. Machine gun query.

I was about .3 miles off of Rt 539 and this was the first puddle. Whole thing was about an hour. I was heading back to work from a meeting in Sea Girt...so I just had to stay a few extra hours (meetings out of the office affected the work left to be done more than an hour of being stuck)

I'll just say the details because we have a few lurkers from work on ADV. Though I'm a solid 7-6 worker... This ended up being one of those nights...but more because I spent 6 hours at Sea Girt.

It was a buddy who came to help me, we have a facility down the street on 539--it was a recent tag...and it was the end of the work day--so he came out to get me. Luckily a few folks out there still have full-size 4wds. Took a lot to pull that free. I do Spot...but not that day.

these are heavy bikes to extricate from mud holes. i can't imagine what your st is like to pull out. and what's most annoying is the ez pass reader didn't register going through the toll booth! and the panynj employee wouldn't help me out here!
loph917 - I'm curious about that large-screen device on your handlebar. Is it Android tablet? At first I thought iPad but it looks smaller.

that is a garmin 1490T (5" screen). tigerdirect had them for $129 refurbished at one time. using a $0.05 ziploc bag makes it mostly waterproof. unfortunately tigerdirect doesn't have any more refurbs; i should have bought a couple.

i'm considering moving to a 7" android tablet. the new samsung 7.7 has got my interest piqued. i'm thinking it would fit perfectly in my map window of my tank bag. due to condensation i'll still have to worry about waterproofing it. the other downside is it will no longer be touch capable in that configuration. even mounted on the handlebars you'd need to sew some silver thread into the finger of your glove to make the capacitive screen work (garmin's are resistive).

Clearly he doesn't mind a little dirt on it, though.

I read that a couple of days ago.

I was wondering if anyone here had any good stories about Clinton Road ?

We went to the Clinton Ironworks on our first Bruce Run.

I rode Clinton rd a few years ago - unfortunately I didnt get chased by any black cars or other oddities (maybe fortunate as the wife was riding pillion and she already thought I was going too fast) but it was a nice ride if I remember correctly -- twisty and hilly.
