Your tire/wheel?

Anyone recognize their tire/wheel in this shot? According to the NY Times, this has become a real industry now that there are battery operated power tools that make stealing wheels like a 10 second pit stop at a Nascar race:

Went to Extreme Machines today for some oil and tune up parts for the bikes. Had no idea they were a Royal Enfield dealer.

Oh... and I know you have used it to it's dirt potential.

Two come to mind when it was pretty new, The tower tag and the beach tag.

The F800 wasnt even made in 05. 1st year was 08'. I think your thinking of the F650 single. That is made in the land of poisonous sheetrock and lead based food. But your right I would not fork over even a bowl of rice for any bike Chinese made.
Its not a lable, its a impression stamp inside the engine MADE IN AUSTRIA
But you could of course be right.
Your friend is spot on with the DR btw.

So according to my buddy the middleweights BMWs' are nothing more than "cheap chinese crap" Caveat Emptor...See post 6693 that explains the Rotax production more clearly than I stated it...from the horses mouth...also post 6703...

you are correct and some of my facts arent ...but it is the F880GS that has the chinese engine cases...i cant understand why BMW would allow these engine cases to be outsourced when the rest of the engine is built in Germany to their exacting specifications. I sincerely hope all of youse guys that are BMW owners do not have this bad experience.

They are cheap Ill tell you that. No oil site glass, shit plastic dipstick, leaky valve covers, and cheap looking finish.
Ill say the build quality is hugely different from the flagship 1200 GS. I noticed that right away. Of course that might not be saying much

well as long as the bikes arent truly pushed to their design limits on a regular basis like my friend Flashback's then one will most likely not have this problem. But one can never truly be sure...tick tick tick.....

I can't get over how easy it was to ride in the really sloppy shit. Or over stuff, that I just expected it to be harder to handle....

I was under the impression that the parts were made in Austria, and they were sent to China for assembly. Not that that's any better.

nope. when i bought mine i tracked its assembly in the munich factory then onto the ship all the way to newark via the north atlantic via my pc. did the same with the 1200 even brought the very ship in and docked. i also got the container mine was in cleared through customs when the ship was still headed west off nantucket!
