Some Wow! Some Oww!

Feeling a little guilty here on the upper left coast..... Stopped by the Uptown Pub after work and all of the televisions were on storm coverage. Some idiot started in about the election and promptly got a chorus of STFU! World Series, Election, the Kardashians were all forgotten while everyone collectively worried and held their breath....and we're 2500 miles away! Be Safe even if you can't be Good, Dave

Hope all are.ok..shelter ops at Rutgers, search and checkpoints inh a few towns. Devastated....some heartbreak, but a resilience that makes me proud. Your countrymen have a great trait in quantity: Resolve.

Keep the faith ...not a lot of internet...my hq has no power, using generators for lights and coms. Again hope all are ok

It was chaotic when I drive home from work today. In Lakewood, three gas stations I passed, had cars and people with cans waiting to get gas. You would have thought it was the gas crisis of the 70's. I can only assume that all the places with out electric, gas stations aren't pumping, and for people needing gas for their generators. Again, it was chaotic.

Roads in Sussex and warren counties are beginning to open up. Talked to some power line guys yesterday. They can't even find all the breaks in the lines. They are turning the grid on and off in someplaces to figure out how far they have. Scary stuff. OEMS is tryin to run a warming center with power for cell phones. They had offered food to those who need it, but some people treated it as a free diner and ate them out of food in about a day and a half. I personally have no power still, but no damage to the house. I am really digging the wood stove now
Good luck to everyone

Oh and in case any of u bandits get any ideas, ill be standing shotgun over the power maker all night. From inside of course. Zombies out there after dark of course.
My next task is to distill fuel from discarded garbage.

The red squares are anchored oil tankers waiting to come in. The red ship I ones are inbound oil tankers underway for Bayonne. There will be dozens more coming.

stunned by what i've seen of the state on tv...its really sad...glad you all are alright...my family is safe and sound on SI. Was gonna be travellin to Long Island this week to pick up a vintage XS1100 but ofc now thats on hold for a few more weeks...just might still make it up for Thanksgiving and kill 2 birds with one stone...so to say...but we'll have to see how soon your infrastructure returns to a functioning state...

Cars were lined up for fuel a mile long at the rest stops on the NJTP. Working in Union NJ today and it was gas armageddon up their. Literally hundreds of people standing in line with their gas cans, total gridlock from cars waiting in line. Same story all the way back to Trenton. Most stations are closed or out of fuel. Was lucky to find the one I frequent didn't have too long a line but was down to premium fuel only. Went past a hour later and they are closed. 1/2 dozen stations within a mile of my house are all closed or out of gas.

Better late than never, but a few shots from the Freemansburg Hillclimb to get our minds off the mess outside.
