It is a cool bike, but not for that price. No heated grips, no ASC.

New gsa is biggg boy, a bit wider for an already big wide bike

Loved the new ktm sd and was pleased w the new adv1190, better looking in real life than pics, however some of the finish felt n looked cheap imo

My show pics

I didn't bother shooting the new bikes-- figured enough people would-- and mostly took pics of the customs (I really liked they way they displayed them) and some older bikes. I'm not much of a fan of the wild customs, but there are some interesting components and design features on many of them. One unfortunate (to me anyway) trend I'm seeing is that many cafe builders are following the chopper formula wrt a "more radical=more better" aesthetic.

Seemed like a better layout this year, less crowded than last year (or maybe the result of the new layout). Good to see KTM, Aprilia/Guzzi there. Continuing the trend of fewer small independent businesses (I suspect the cost of doing business there is just too great or too much of a pita to deal with). The "stuntas" booths hawking tapes were nowhere to be seen (might be because it's all on YouTube these days-- another industry disrupted by the web ). Other celebs I saw were the original GOAT and the man eternally grateful for being signed by H-D, $cott Ru$$ell.

last-- a shout-out to the band, courtesy of Progressive Insurance and the School Of Rock. The kids were pretty good, and weren't afraid to do some very difficult songs (the first set I saw kicked off with Piece Of My Heart and Whipping Post) for folks that (presumably, at 17 ) haven't lived a booze/drug filled life.

This shows how the bikes were laid out

I think this was my favorite display

There are less conspicuous ways to take your Panigale to a track day

Yeah, I know-- it's a new bike. Looks nice, but geesh, it could use some hp to back up the looks.

Anyone check out the Indians? Nice for their type and all, seem well screwed together; but man are they big/long/wide!

Pissed that these came out blurry

Not so much this one

Can't have too many old Guzzi sportin' pics

Ok, ok, I did shoot a couple of new bikes

And, as always, ending on the highest of notes

The new GS

Looks like a pimped out drug dealer's Humvee. Extraneous curves, angles, chrome things sticking out all over the place. Take simplicity personified (the original GS concept), and add enough extraneous froo froo, electronic gadgetry and additional mechanical complexity, and what do you have?

A bike to park out in front of a Starbucks!

I went to the show, and found the bike I always wanted. A bike that had four characteristics:
1. comfortable, meaning riding position and suspension
2. large enough to intimidate cars a little (preferably in high-vis yellow!)
3. simple mechanics with max charging system for electrics
4. Starts all the time, and is easy to maintain.

I found that bike in my garage, with 100,000 miles on it!

Thanks for letting me see what I am missing.
Red, I was always betting you would end up with the tuono, but the Rivale could be a contender. New monster would be the dark horse.
So many things for me to save up for!

The Ninja 1000 is not a bike that I think is particularly good looking, but everything I've read about it indicates it's an outstanding bike.
