Anyone up for a gathering at my place on the 19th to host Chanderjeet from India?

Also, open to anyone who might like to host up north in NJ...that'd work too

Just back from an unexpected week in Scotland, yesterday I finally got some free time and drove down the coast from Ayr to Girvan. The A719 is a great twisty road, there were lots of bikes on it (but not for me, sadly), and it includes the Electric Brae:

I didn't get it, despite going up/down it in both directions. In Girvan, this was recommended as the best place to eat:

This is the small fish with chips:

The harbour and Harbour master's Office:

At the beach, looking South:

...looking North:

...and looking West:

Some 3000 miles or so beyond that rock (Ailsa Craig) is North America.

I hope your mum is doing ok.
My son is on his summer sea term and they just sailed from Cork up and around Scotland enroute to Denmark.

When it comes to British or Scottish food, it's best not to ask too many questions.

Does Tapatalk Pro compress the pictures less than the free version? Your pictures look quite nice, whereas the pictures I post end up looking pretty crappy, with unreadable signage much of the time.

I'm not really sure BH
But I take the pic with the iphone 1st then go to TT to post as opposed to posting and during that , take the pic from within TT, if that makes any sense.
But I'm not sure that makes any difference either.

Nice

Very nice!

This Saturday is a chance to see something special in NYC.
http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap140706.html

"This coming Saturday, if it is clear, well placed New Yorkers can go outside at sunset and watch their city act like a modern version of Stonehenge. Manhattan's streets will flood dramatically with sunlight just as the Sun sets precisely at each street's western end. Usually, the tall buildings that line the gridded streets of New York City's tallest borough will hide the setting Sun. This effect makes Manhattan a type of modern Stonehenge, although only aligned to about 30 degrees east of north. Were Manhattan's road grid perfectly aligned to east and west, today's effect would occur on the Vernal and Autumnal Equinox, March 21 and September 21, the only two days that the Sun rises and sets due east and west. Pictured above in this horizontally stretched image, the Sun sets down 34th Street as viewed from Park Avenue. If Saturday's sunset is hidden by clouds do not despair -- the same thing happens twice each year: in late May and mid July. On none of these occasions, however, should you ever look directly at the Sun. "

I wanted to check in, say "hi" and show y'all the new bike. I traded in the V-strom for this.

I'm still planning on attending the Ramapo 500 this weekend...I'll just be a little....slower....than everybody else.
