You're not going to believe this, but I've ridden in that thing, or one just like it, in Athens, Georgia. Ages ago, back during the Space Race, the Sears store here in town made a really big production of the Christmas season. The basement of the store was transformed into one huge toy department, and Santa's Space Sleigh (pictured above) would take families on a tour of the parking lot while Santa walked down the aisle with a microphone plugged into the onboard PA system, asking the kids what we wanted for Christmas.

That's the story I got from the owner of Mukluk Land. Two were built and used in the south. He found them in Minnysocold and drove 1 back to Tok while the other needed to be towed. He did say that Santa sat on the roof in the chair that's bolted down.
Their intentions are to clean the Rocket Ship up and drive it in the 4th of July parade in Tok.

Nice report and pics.
Can I ask what time of year this is? Late June, early July?
Is that hail on the Dalton highway or snow?

Good report!
Cliff must have stock in that bead breaker company.
I bought one in 07 on Cliff's recommendation before my Alaska Trip.

Thumb Great customer service

One phone call to RotoPax and I was sent a complete Base mount and extension to replace the parts that broke. Plus a handfull of seals for the gas cans.
Thank you Sir!

Great write up!

Any more info on the rotopax issue?
Did they confirm it was ethanol related or recommend using different o-rings?

How about the bubbling of the rotopax?

Cheers,
Oliver (Fellow WA state inmate.)
