I noticed you made a donation of your left aux light around 5:35.

I ditched mine and have the Denali D2's mounted up higher now for that reason.

I'll have to check out those lights. The BMW auxiliary lights are the first thing to get knocked off when the bike goes to one side. Silly place to locate the lights, but the plastic support ring is pretty cheap to replace - and designed to break first. If i were smart, I'd take a couple extra with me on trips like this. The light pattern and brightness is actually pretty good, otherwise I would have changed them long ago. But you're right...lights on top of the bar make for a more protected placement. As a teenager, I put some fog lights under the bumper of a Jeep. They didn't last too long! Lesson learned...

ALTrider does put on a great event.
