moved from the DR650 thread as i just read the new forum rules about posting in the correct section.

Nice video, and impressive riding.

But, I think its time to retire "needle being pulled from a record scratch" sound effect. I wonder how much of the population has no idea what that noise is.

I raced against a bloke who was riding RM80 once who cleaned up half the field of mainly 250's. Being one of the top 10 motorcross riders in the country racing against weekend hackers gave him some advantage though I don't recall too many of the those that got cleaned up trading in their 250's for 80cc bikes...but maybe they should have

so to answer your question...am I saying you cant beat a KTM on your DR? I've seen enough of your video's to be able recognise your skills on a bike. but as they say "never let the truth get in the way of a good story"...keep them videos coming

From a 690 rider, fkn love it B1.
Mad skills mate, riding wise and video editing
I wish I could wheelie like you haha, had a pretty bad accident flipping my old XL 185 as a kid and it still haunts me 25 years later.

thanks mezcal. all strictly tongue in cheek of course and i've owned ktms myself very happily for the most part. had a 690 for three months and strangely the DR turned out to be much easier to wheelie in most respects, go figure!

Hey guys, this video was put together by my fiancè over the past week. I recorded about 50 hours of footage when we rode from Toronto to California and back in August. We had a blast, hope you like it!

From our recent trip to Spain & the Pyrenees: LINK

so.. if you think that was OK... [shameless plug time]

If you're like me, you have a GoPro, you take video, and at the end of a trip you either don't have:

  • the time to edit it all
  • the skills / talent / computer horsepower to edit it all
  • the inclination
I think I tick all three boxes personally
However.... I do know a guy (Michelle's nephew as a matter of fact), who is skilled in all three. So I attach the compilation video he made for us. probably best watched in HD.

If you have gig's of video laying around, and think "damn.. it'd be nice to have a cool video made", Tim's quite reasonable! You can reach him by email at Productions by Tim
Facebook users can hit him up there: LINK [/shameless plug time]

This ride was part of the NM Quien Sabe, put on by RMAR to benefit the NMOHVA group. We camped out the first night, which was epic camping weather, then this storm blew in and slapped us sideways the very next day. That night we spent in a Game-Room at an RV park. We had a huge wood-burning stove in there, and all of use crashed on the floor around the pool table. It looked like a Frat-house with all of our gear and crap laying around. The next night we camped out close to Taos....little chilly, but doable.
