Thank you, sir - certainly worth the effort when people enjoy it. The awesome ride reports here are what initially inspired me to travel by motorcycle, and learn how to use a camera.

BobW - glad you like, brudda - more to come.

I need to start using another camera in conjunction with my gopro. GoPro is good for POV and close action but cannot do long distance. Whats the camera you are using to take the animal clips?

@Goofy

The handheld shots are from a Canon Rebel T3i with Canon lenses. I used a 70-300 for the animal shots, 15-85 for the wide shots, and a 50/1.8 for the "cake" and "steak" shots. Canon dslrs take amazing video, and having full manual exposure control for video gets you exactly what you want. I bought the camera just a few months before the trip and "crash coursed" it. I'm very pleased with it. Have fun out there and good luck!

More from my trip out West.....

Yankee Boy Basin...

Camp Bird Road....

Up thru the Aspens....at 3:20 the road narrows and the cliff face overhangs the trail....

Going up one fork of the basin....creek crossing at 4:40....

Some of the rougher part of this fork...but worth for the views!

Still playing in Yankee Boy Basin....lots of water crossings and vistas...

The desent....gives you an idea of how steep it was and of course....back thru the water crossings...

100 Seconds at Superstition

I made this short (1:40) edited video for my friend to say thanks cause he loaned me his DR650 for a 2,500 mile trip and my IBA Saddle Sore 1000. The area is Superstition OHV outside El Centro, CA. This was his first time on Sand, we only briefly touched the baby dunes. His normal bike is the DR but hes riding the YZ250F. I'm on the DRZ400E. Watch in 720p for better picture.

(BTW the GoPro Hero struggles in low light situations, it was rainy, very windy and stormy). I also took footage on my iPhone 4s
