I almost bought a old broke Vespa hack to turn into a crib for the tax credit on the way. MrsDonkeys loved the idea, but I couldn't figure out how to get the tug down the hallway.

This gives a whole new idea. Use the tub as the crib, mounted on the wall, and take the tug to chop into the Ural scrambler adventure bike that I've always wanted to build. MrsDonkeys is very glad this one is far away.

I haven't gotten a reply yet so...

No bath tub, crib or mail box. I am just curious to see if this could work out, at that price I could do a "fly and ride" and still afford to break down a few times.

WTB: Subframes/Mounts for_____? Wachooogot?

Gents,

I am still eyeballing a few bikes in the New England area. Some have frames, others are not easily adapted.

Does anyone have a sidecar subframe for sale? If so, please inbox me as I can reverse my search and buy a bike that fits the frame. New/Used is fine.

Mucho dubbbble dankes,

Andy

Anybody need a Honda Goldwing with a sidecar? Buy the other 100 motorcycles in this lot, and get the wing for free.

Tire for sale-would work on a pavement-liking GS

Just bought a Metzeler ME880 two weeks ago. It's a 110/80-19 which is the standard size for a BMW GS. Rode it to the Hells Canyon Rally and back--total mileage about 980 miles. It's now for sale. $50 plus $20 shipping.

Works great on wet and dry pavement. Works OK (not great) on dry dirt and pavement. Not suitable for mud. Which means it's not suitable for me.

There are some scratches in the side of the tread caused by rocks grinding into it when my front wheel locked up at about 25mph in some mud. I'm guessing they'll be gone after another 1000 miles of use.

PM me if interested. If no hackers want it, I'll post it up to the big FM next week. Which reminds me--I'm leaving tomorrow for another rally so if you DO want it, you won't hear back from me until Sunday.

Comes with a bill of sale only. If registering it in California there could be up to $300 in fees.

I will sell the 15" wheels and leading as a package if you are trying upgrade your existing BMW rig.

$2200.00 OBO. The wheels, tires and leading link are worth that alone. I can help with shipping.

Lowered price. $1500.00. I will part it out next week if no one is interested.

Seems like a good deal for the bodywork and frame, even if nothing else is salvageable. I'd buy it for the tub alone and part out the rest if I didn't have a yard-full of projects.

I had that tire on my R1200C. Definitely not meant for use off-road.
