Yes DRONE it's Brosanc's rig. Surprised that he hasn't sold it yet. Was long listed for sale...but then ceased being advertised. I know him personnaly.....great set up. He found out that it wasn't what he wanted...he preferred going 2 wheels....

We both headed for Alaska in the same month but at different times.

Poer is not an issue, but they do take about 15-20 seconds to reach maximum brightness. The brackets were custom build (sorry not a production item). I hope this helps.

The temptation is there Roger but I need a HP rig worse than I need another dualsport.

That said someone is going to get a great rig in this one.

KLR 650 Sidecar for sale - California

KLR 650 Sidecar rig - $7500 (alameda)

Nice 2001 KLR650 with Dnepr sidecar body, just bought body and had it painted. I installed it and aligned the rig today, rides nice. This will be an excellent do-all rig, long distance touring, camping, take a friend for a ride, grocery getter, pet hauler, you name it. KLR has been well maintained, nice tires, chain and sprockets, everything works perfectly, has 15,000 miles, not much for a KLR, always dependable, I know a guy who has 100,000 on his, I don't have a butt that will last that long. Seat and pegs updated to comfy 2009 model. Eagle Mikes counter ballance adjuster, anti-freeze, softer foam grips, bar end balancers, newer hand guards, new windshield, oil and filter changed, new brakes, all lines purged.

Please serious inquires only, no low ball, Call Marty (510) 227-5077

And another Dnepr, in Florida

I'm trying hard not to go look at this.... It is not titled, current owner has not ridden it, has sat in his garage for "some time" due to family problems.

How reliable are these? Is it worth putting a BMW in the frame? Noticed it's not a leading link fork.

Go on Russian Iron or Soviet Steeds forums for better information. Those untitled "kit" bikes are supposed to be a PIA to get registered. My own experience is you can find a titled and running Ural in decent shape for that kind of price.

They are as reliable as anything Soviet -- and are best worked on after three bottles of vodka using a large rock. In my experience over there, Russian stuff is amazingly durable, but don't expect any level of sophistication. If you've ever owned anything classic Brit, multiply the fiddle factor several times. Russians can be as skilled as any people on earth, but their factory production has not broken records for finish. The Russians are all over "Pohd": that state when you've had a good meal, a banya (sauna here), and have slung down a half-liter of Gorrilka chased by several Baltika #9's. It's a mellow state, but you're not going to care about the finer points of machinery.

Now, with the relative weakness of the dollar versus the ruble, Russian stuff is not nearly the value it once was. That being said, the Dnepr sidecar is a tank, and worth all of the asking price. You could Barnum the tug off on the next romantic and strap it to something a little less needy - say an airhead or a GS850/1000
