That seller has 7 feedbacks over a decade so they don't count anymore. My guess is he's someone who probably has more important things to do than buy and sell off ebay. When I'm interested in buying something expensive from a distance I email them for a phone number. I expect the same when I sell a vehicle online. I've bought a number of vehicles like this with zero problems and am currently waiting to fly out to do it again with a Ural. I've never been burned yet. The internet provides many ways to check on a seller for free. Foolproof? No. Good deals from decent people? More often than you might think. I'd be much more cautious of the sportscar in front of a Miami mansion type of ad than this guy.
edit- He also is selling his Valkrie. I see at least two license plates in his pictures, not to mention some targets (Bullseyemaster) in the garage. I bet he'd gladly give credentials that you could check up on.

I have emailed him back and forth several times. I also threw $8100 at it, though that bid was quickly beaten. He gave me good information on adding a hack to my 1150GS Adventure. He sure seems legit. He's a member here too though mostly a lurker (only 4 posts).

If you are interested in the rig, contact him through Ebay messaging and start a dialog.

I was just kidding about the seller. Looks like a great rig. I loved my 1150. 76K+ miles when I sold it. The buyer has over 120k on it now. It wasn't hacked, but it would have made a fine tug.

It's clearly a $15,000 rig. Any body who gets it for less is saving themselves money. Just checked and he's got 17 different bidders and 44 bids already. And it's over the reserve, so it's definitely for sale!

Dang! He's even got the same decals as me!

I think he put it out there at no reserve.

He told me that he had it built by Dauntless. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was lowered quite a bit. When I do my 1150 GS Adv I want to keep the tug at stock height.

I sent him a link to this thread, hopefully he will chime in.

For the ADV members interested, ask the seller if the rig has a swaybar and if the GS has upgraded aftermarket heavy shocks, otherwise it could handle as a drunken pig . I did this 2 alterations on my GS rig and they are more than very usefull, just saying.

It's lower? Looks remarkably like a rig that was lowered I saw a couple years ago parked at the Madison Regional Airport here. Although it had a car wheel in back, but a great looking rig. Seller is located a couple hours from here, so might be.

Another BMW w/DMC Sidecar on eBay

2002 BMW R1150RT with DMC Sidecar -- 7800 Miles

Has car pusher and electric trim. Not sure if it has the steering mod, but guessing it does. Only 7800 miles. I have the name of the PO, but not permission to post it online. PM me if you want to know.

This one is only about 2 hours from me, so if anybody wants me to go look at it and get better pics, might be a good excuse for a ride!

The Velorex is definitely worth the $450. Not useful as a combo though.
