TW200 WI Guzzi Rally, Cheese Country Trail, T.W.A.T.

Put just under 800 miles on for the weekend, had a great time meeting friends old and new. Can't wait to get back and finish the remaining section of the T.W.A.T. ride.

Thanks guys; it was a fun weekend.

I've always wondered about the "M" as well and like most everyone else, never took the time to stop and figure it out. I'm slowly catching on that making a 200 mile day rather than an 800 mile one opens up all kinds of opportunities, the kind I'm appreciating more and more.

It was on the bike when I bought it, one of the reasons that this one stood out from the small crowd for me. I knew I'd appreciate it and have no idea if it is intended to be model specific or not. It tucks down quite well over the plastic section around the headlight. Curious, I stuck my receipt from the State Park that she handed me and placed it down low behind the shield. I rode 20 miles that evening and it barely moved. Then rode the rest of the way home and the taped receipt is still where I put it. In other words, it fits well over the headlight; gives lots of torso protection.

There's a logo on the bottom that says "Cobra". I've been curious but not enough to seek out where it came from. I'm glad it's there though.

Thanks Mule; I've 'been' through your Alaska trip more than once. I'm just a follower.

I know it's an old thread, but since the OP is still active, I thought it'd be relevant!

Just went through your Cheese Trail pics, and got a kick out of seeing my old stomping ground. I've spent many afternoons flying RC planes off the top of the M. When I got to that part, I half expected it to be me in your pics!

The "M" is perfect for slope flying. The prevailing winds from the SW hit that wide open face and create an updraft. You can fly all day without any power to your plane at all. I've even seen hang gliders and paragliders launch off that face and fly around until they feel like landing. I always used it for combat - just trying to knock the other planes out of the sky. With no spinning props, it was almost impossible to actually damage the planes - it was just awesome to make the other guy walk half way down the face to retrieve his plane.

Anyway, I was born and raised a few miles from the cheese trail and have never been on it. I'm planning on riding it at some point this summer. Thanks for posting the pics!

Hey, I just accidentally stumbled on my old Thread while looking for something else. The Cheese Trail was fun, an easy ride but then I'm not really a Single Tracker, preferring Ill-Maintained and gravel far more that end up going places I want to go.

Riding in that area is fun; I spend lots of time in that part of the state. For sure I get down there for the annual Guzzi Rally and will be there again this year. Every year I ride something different, not sure what I'll be on for '13.

I've got a week off in June with the AHRMA Races smack dab in the middle and plan to wiggle my way around and through that part of the state both on the way over and home again.
