Puppy Dog Route
I have wanted to do this for awhile and had the GPS files for some time. Due to an error of some sort my GPS only had the southern route on it so that's all I did this time.
I left early from home Monday to get to the start point in Greenfield. It was quite foggy and presented some problem to vision until the sun burned it off.
The next series was taken on Dodge Road. It appeared to have not been used in some time. There was a guy cutting wood nearby and I asked him if it was a public road, he said that it was but not maintained and that I should have no problem getting through, although 4 wheel drive vehicles could not ...
The first section was just muddy with hidden logs.
The next 500' or so was quite interesting, a trials bike would have been much better. The drop off in the first section was about 5' and over wet moss covered rocks. I'm glad I was going down and not up.
There were several more smaller sections with lots of mud, rocks and logs. I managed to get through it all with no tip overs. This was really the only difficult part of the ride.
The rest of the pictures are just scenes along the way.
No one was around, too cold maybe
The route itself was about 150 miles, maybe 70% of that dirt. Except for that one nasty section the whole route could be done with street tires.
