dunno, they were quick to reply, just sent a fake address: fort worth texas

This ad probably has to be the best Scam ad I've seen, although you can still pick out the bad english, but because it's from Montreal (french) you kinda let it slide...These nigerian scammers are getting good.

I'll post the link to this fake ebay thing too...

" Look how this works:

1. I will contact eBay and give all the info about this deal.
2. They will email us the forms which are needed for our deal.
3. I will send the bike to your location and you will send the money at eBay.
4. After you will inspect the bike and decide to keep it, eBay will forward the funds to me.

If the bike is not suitable for you from any reason, your money will be fully refundable and I will take the bike back on my cost. I'm sure it won't be the case, because it's a state of art looking and working machine. Anyway, you will have 7 days, from the time you receive the bike, to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not.

If you wish to purchase it, please provide me Your Full Name and Your Complete Address so I can initiate the deal through eBay. I apologize but I had an accident in March 2008 and I lost my voice (the main factor in my divorce). I can't speak with you over phone but I can call you from an office for dumb persons, like me, and one person will speak for me with you. Please let me know what don you think. Also, let me know if there's something else you need to know.

more proof of a scam

I saw that ad last month, posted in Toronto rather than Mtl. It was priced at $10 000 cdn which I think is a reasonable amount for a used F800 without bags. I am sure that there is a legitimate happy new owner. Probably an ADVer.
I just found this in my web cashe.

yes...if it looks too good to be true

Thanks for the tips. I just had my gmail hijacked this week by a similar dickhead. They sent all my addresses a money request, saying I was in London and needed Pounds sent. Bunch of BS and I want to nail the jerks. What a waste of time. Looks like red flags and smells like poo.

You're clearly single, aren't you Desert Dave?

If not, you soon will be!

Another one?

Maybe she's also selling the '06 1200GS in Sharbot Lake for $7,500? (Kijiji Toronto).
I would think scamming in a village is a lot harder than in the city, heck, you could interview everybody in SL in a couple of hours.
Cheers,
Tony
