This was at the 1992 Palo Alto Concours De Elegance. I photographed the car, this is not a photo I found on the web. I think I've got a 962 at Laguna Seca in the Corkscrew too.

993. And I've been trying to figure it out. It's a Targa, but it has a fat ass.

Cheers PB - did they have the 'S' turbo-look body option back then? Looks like it's got different foglight/air intakes too.....like an RS?

the S had the fat ass, but it wasn't available as a Targa. I have found a few references to the car, but they're calling it a Targa Turbo. I don't see any listing of that in the production numbers either, and without a tail there is no room for a intercooler.

I'll have to break into my new 993 book to see if I can find some factory reference to it.

It sure is perdy.

Cheers PB - did they have the 'S' turbo-look body option back then? Looks like it's got different foglight/air intakes too.....like an RS?
It is a regular Targa with rolled fenders. The wheels are Speedlines and the scoops in the front are from a Turbo S, it is a very popular mad done on 993's and 964's.

Rolled fenders doesn't explain the flares.
