Thanks to info found here regarding reasonably-priced Caymans, I have been looking at eBay, online sales listings, even the Porsche website.

I really was OK before I saw this thread and all the potential ruin it contains.

I'm catching up to you age wise. I really wanted a Lotus Elise.

I went to the dealer to try one out. I felt like an idiot trying to get in
and out of it. With the top off it was doable. Top on you have to be
a gymnist. If the steering wheel was removable then maybe. I decided
it was for younger, lighter individuals. My son rented one for a week.
It was the Esige. We traded around some. Fun car, but certainly sparton.

We saw a couple of Panamera's in Vegas a week ago. MUCH more pleasing in person; wide, low, dark stance. 500 HP? Yup.

I hope you have a new set of main bearings in this box - if not prepare to be shocked at how expensive they've gotten in the last few years...

Have several sets, its a debate as to which set to use, do we build up the crank, or cut the case.

Which is exactly the reason they appeal to me.

That is such a good-looking car, in the same league as a Ferrari 275, BMW 507, or Lambo Miura SV.
