Ruckus tiremileage

Ive bought a NPS 50cc Zoomer(ruckus)
On speedo there are now 1000kms. Im taking a flight and bring the ruckus home by riding it. Home is about 2000-3000kms.
Im newbie about mopeds and wonder...how many kilometers(or miles) do I get from the tires?

My Ruckus has 2500 miles (about 4000 kms) and the tires have at least that many miles left, if not more.

How long do you think it will take you to get home? That's a pretty good distance for a nOOb on a new-to-you scooter. Sounds like quite an adventure.

Have fun and take photos.

Thnx! No worry now about the tires.
A swedish ruckus has a topspeed 45 kms/h(laws). What speed has the ruckus "over there"?

Shortest way home is about 1400kms, but you cant ride motorways with it. My plans are to not take the shortest way home, among others ship to Finland etc. It will take about a week for me

Yes, Im a nOOb on a moped, but I ride on two wheels(mostly motorcycles) something like 35.000kms/year(live also at cold areas, near arctic circle). Have already done small adventures on a 125 scooters and used to ride about 700-900kms/day with theme.

About Ruckus, had at home a black one for testing how to put te luggage.
Was very suprised how much you can load on it.

The laws here in the US are a little strange. Each state has its own rules based on what type of driver's license you have. There are a couple states that limit you to riding at 30mph or 48km/h because they require no special license or no license at all to ride a 50cc scooter. But you can ride a regular Ruckus as fast as it will go in just about every state if you have a regular Motorcycle endorsement on your Driver's License.

The American Ruckus itself is not speed limited based on laws like the European Ruckus. There is only a rev limiter to keep you from blowing up the engine by over-revving it. The stock engine tops out at 42 mph or 67.5km/h. The American Ruckus still has a carburetor. I'm pretty sure that all European Ruckus are fuel injected.

Have you been on the TotalRuckus.com website yet?

Yes, the laws regarding mopeds (under 50cc) are all over the place.
In NC no tag or driver's license required under 30 MPH and 50cc (liquor cycle) , in FL tag and dl required.
If I ride a NC moped in FL do I need a dl and tag? Just wondering.

Well, Wan did ride that NC "not-plated" Ruckus all over the US. Of course that didn't stop him from getting pulled over a couple times.
The consensus I've heard was that tags no, but driver's license yes. However, without tags in place where everyone has them you might just get stopped by the police and have lots of explaining to do.

thanks guys, also for the zoomer link...Ill check it out.

Yesterday I send mostly of my luggage to Gothenburg and booked the fligt. Will get there next tuesday evening.
Then I have to fit the GPS and all the luggage("kitchen", tent etc etc) on the zoomer. Maybe my ride first day will be just about 30kms?

Ill return later with some photos.

Back from the trip. It ended up in almost 2000kms, 7 days riding. Some of this days I was stucked on islands between Sweden and Finland.
...and the tires was good.

Speeding about 42 kms/hour

Some pics on this link. Sorry for the swedish text, but the pics are in english.

It looks like it was great trip and the Ruckus/Zoomer seemed to do it well. I really like this photo of yours:

Thanks guys

Nobody said that the tires(wich looks like a offroadtires) was not offroadtires

Ones I rode to an end rode. Tried to impressed on my self and speed up trough a field.

One bounce, I and Zoomer lay down nicely on a little hillside. There I laid on my back, stucked with my foot under the zoomer. Looked at the sun and laugh.

Lucky nobody saw it, I`ve must looked like a....well
