Question Ulysses Rider comfort Kit

Hi Gang
I put the Rider comfort kit on my 06 Uly this week and I am very happy with the difference in how little the fan runs now. I do not hear it running while I go down the highway in 50 degree weather anymore.
It is recommended that I get a new calibration in my ECU to optimize the cooling capabilities of this new shrouding.
Has anyone done this yet and do you know if they are playing around with timing or fuel mixtures at all.
I really like the way my bike runs and do not what to have the performance or fuel economy affected by updating the ECU

Thanks in advance H.R.

LOTS of info on this thread on BadWeB.

Court Canfield (personal friend of Erik B) is among the people installing and reporting on them.

Refits

Looking through Badweb the kit appears to be priced between $125 and $135, and then add in labor if you dont do it yourself. Plus the ECM reflash, free some places and cost a little at others.

I took a look at the pictures installed. I have an 06 Uly and just cant see myself adding this. It seems to detract from the symmetry, or depending on your point of view the lack of symmetry of the 06. She may get hot on the right side, but at least I bought her knowing this.

I did the install my self, took me 2 1/2 hours but I had to take my Touratech bag mounts off, and some extra electronics in the Battery compartment out. The kit was $ 119.00+ Tax and I will let the group know what I get charged for the reflash.

I like the look of the twin scoop

Undecided

I'm still on the fence about the Comfort Kit.

Since I installed a new muffler (Hawk Performance) and reset my TPS recently, the fan doesn't run excessively while riding.

Today, it's 95 F in Chicago and, even then, the right side heat isn't unbearable by any means.

Hog Rider, those look like 35 litre Zega panniers, if you're loaded for bear and perhaps carrying additional gear (waterproof duffles etc.), does the Ulysses unload the front end at all, in regards to high speed stability running solo ? And would that be a Madstad windshield bracket by the way ?

I mounted a set of 41 litre Zegas on my 04 DL1000 and the weight distribution just doesn't work on the Strom , was always curious how well the Buell would handle the same setup...

Brackets

The brackets in the picture are from Palmer in the UK, a competing product to the MadStad brackets:
