The stock Olympia liner is pretty good but I wanted a little more configurability so I took a micro fleece jacket and an insulated waterproof jacket. They offered different levels of warming or I could stack them if I wanted to. It was warm enough. Really the only drawback was that it was a bee magnet.
Seriously.

We were up "there" the last week of August. Basically, we took a week going up, a week there, and a week back.
We left California August 15. Made Canada by day three. Whitehorse day 6.
High tourist/fly/dust season had passed.

So no one could say we were part of the unwashed masses. As I said in the report: Never underestimate the power of good hygeine.
Notice it didn't rain on us on the Dalton....only once we got back on the tarmac. They really needed the rain too.

Jon;
Speaking of growlers, it's wintertime. You need to come down here and Dyvking and I will take you to a couple places that have been known to refill a couple of growlers I keep for special occasions. Yes that's right, free beer Jon. You just have to come to California in the winter. (Someone's got to do it.)
Stay warm

Haven't checked-in in a while.
We were up there the last part of August and early September. Basically the start of the rainy season. The farther north we got the more Fall-like it became.
