Dana - Got your PM. I'd love to ride with you guys tomorrow AM .... but I can't. I've somehow managed to hurt my left shoulder and it is frigg'n killing me. I'm taking off on my own trip North in about a week and a half (Idaho, Montana, WA and OR) .. I got to let this thing healed up, so I'm staying off the bike for a few days.

I'll be watching your progress on the SPOT. Good luck and watch out for all the dumb-dumbs with more than 2 or 3 wheels.

I do have gear question.

1. Orcutt to Grants Pass for lunch
2. GP to Abbottsford for dinner (Good idea, lots of nice restaurants there.)
3. A'ford to Pr.George or beyond for breakfast
4. PG to Pink Mtn for lunch
5. Pink Mtn to Whitehorse (or close) 1st Rest stop
6. Next day Change tires, Admin. day., make plans to finally begin hurrying
7. WH to Eagle Plains for lunch
8. EP to Dawson (heading south again) 2nd rest stop
9. Dawson to FBX to put on warm clothes
10. FBX to Coldfoot for breakfast, then Atigun or Paxson (depending on what Mother says we can do)
11. Paxson to Cantwell to Talkeetna (or beyond)
12-13 Cantwell to ANC via Hatcher Pass (two days)

And that takes care of the first week.

14. Admin day and/or ride to Homer and back
15. ANC to Glenallen to Valdez
16. VD to McCarthy & back out to Chitina or Copper Center
17. Maybe WH, maybe Destruction Bay, maybe Haines Jct.
18-20. WH change tires back, then backdown the Cassiar.
blah blah blah.
21. Then Eureka to Lost Coast to San Francisco
22. SF to Orcutt.

This was just off the top of my head. But it's within 50% either way. I think Mother will tell us what's possible and how retarded we really are. There may be some wiggle room too. But only tomorrow will tell.
Again, no one said they were all good ideas.

Cameras at the ready!
Now it's starting to look like a reasonable schedule.

Yeeeaaaahhhhhh... seems do-able. We'll try that. Wonder why I didn't think to lay it out that way. Hmmmm.

I'm into my second year planning this trip. It's scheduled for next year as my 50th birthday present to myself! But the economy is not helping, considering my location...it's a long ride!!!!

Have fun and enjoy the journey!

I'll keep an eye out for you later this morning if you pass this way.

Wish I was going, jealous hardly decribes the feeling. Enjoy.

Hi you guys! Thanks for the PM and have a great trip.

(I'm glad you explained about the tent -- I thought it was some sort of rear airbag )
