Tom and Gerry Go Gravel

Some say Aucklands streets are paved with Latte?
Others say Jaffa bikes are only for hipsters and posers.
Well that's true but veteran gravel rider and classic racer went in search of a coffee....
Ride started off a bit wet from Westgate and headed North.
As little time as possible was spent on sealed roads and we found a coffee at Puhoi.

Sadly the middle of nowhere had cell phone reception and work found Trustme...curse of the self employed

Real dirt, can't wait to show the guys at work!!!

After 4 hours of meandering around the Kaipara it was time to find some refreshments.
The Riverhead Pub even has Bike Only parking.

I got up to 120 kmph on the gravel, Trustme says I have to join the exclusive 160 club....

Awesome guys!. Great to see bikes being used to get out there and see stuff. Even better with "classic" bikes. Thanks for sharing.

I've been in it, amazing in a completely over the top kind of way. It was being renovated prior to his moving in. $60K light fittings , massive fish tank in the kitchen. Flash new stuff being ripped out & replaced with flasher stuff.
