I'm getting ready to get back at this once I get a little more settled in. I think I'm doing remarkable well all things considered and that I still think things turned out a hell of a lot better than they could have, I hate to think that I might still be crawling out of some hell hole in the jungle with a jacked up leg You know it could have been a whole lot worse...

I'm really looking forward to getting this staples out of my leg within the next week or so because I think they give me the most discomfort besides that little bone every now and then that wants to act up.

Thanks for the good will wishes and all and I will be looking forward to getting back to the stories., amazing amount to tell, it was a wild ride to say the least, wonderful people all over Latin America and Portuguese really is a bitch

Of all the places I could screw up I picked a really easy spot to crash out, too bad I was only a half day's ride from being finished up with this go around and couldn't hold it together, I lost focus and I paid for, going to take some time now. Happy to have great family and friends helping me out, what a blessing

John back in an OK place

Glad you made it back but we're going to miss you at this year's ALARR. You'll have to come twice next year to make up for it.

We'll John's little get off might start at post #1249 but something tells me it's going to be a "Never Ending Story".

John, I know you have a lap top; is your lap also hurt? Where are the photos and continuation of the story? You can't be in that much pain, and if you are I'll send a bottle of Flor de Cana you way. That should help the meds work better.

One of the beautiful things about riding solo is the quality of the social experience.

Well if it's any consultation , my laptop power supply was broken for a few days and got it going again on Wednesday I'm doing all right on the pain, just sucks to be immoblie

So you want the ride report continued from Ecuador back in the good glory days of riding up until the get off or do you want the story of the get off first and then return back to the good old days of ADV riding??

I've got some stops to make this morning and should be able to get this going soon.

Just keep going from where you were. Maybe the crash will not happen this time!

The latest

This one time in Venezuela...

Some of the latest before I get back into the ride report proper. Got a little bit of skin funk going, thinking it might be do to the retractors and swelling I went through, kinda black

There where 49 of these little bastards, I got my dad pull em out for me, nice relief

Finally got through with the Indian Health Services and get to see a doctor on Monday for the followup care

All taped up now still healing up:
