Anyone? Pete? Does Lu have a working cell phone?

If so, call and see if there is a response.

It's my spot. I just called his number and got a message that his voice mail is not set up.

I don't know if any of the other inmates went over SPOT usage with him, but it took him a couple of days to get it set up for tracking. Unless someone else explained the "help" feature, it may be an accidental signal

He's using his own phone, with a local SIM

I just called too. The phone didn't ring, it just went straight to the message saying the voice mail is not set up.

It's an 818 area code, so it's a So-Cal phone.

The SPOT tracking numbers don't make sense to me but the latest shown
on the on-line map shows a request for help, as Eggroll stated, at:

3:47pm on Usal road. The on-line SPOT doesn't show any new tracking points after that.

Some possibilities:

1. It is an accidental activation of the help feature and the unit has been
turned off, hence no more tracking points.

2. Perhaps his phone doesn't work, hasn't been set up, or
doesn't have access.

3. He needs help.

I will create a stickied thread with a request for riders in the area.

It will be in Jo Momma, Rides, and regional.

I did explain to him the function of the help button.
Also the signal is not moving.

Any one know that road well, I heard it can get very rough

even for 4x4.

It likely got a little wet over the weekend too, not good.

'Custom Message' on SPOT

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but noticed the 'custom message' on the SPOT from a few hours ago:

Custom Message:
I'm stuck but not seriously hurt.

Hope all is well.

Ok, I've got the some help on the task.
It will be most helpfull if I can give them better coordinates.

They will head out shortly.
Anyone who's tracking?
Previous and current points?

Anybody headed up that way once contact is made, I wouldn't recommend anything larger than a small 4x4 pickup or a Jeep.
It can get pretty tight in spots, and really greasy if it's wet.
