Thursday would be better timing, but Friday looks drier... and, I don't like mud.

Next week looks even drier (and, mo betta fo me,) and the woods should be in better shape. I could be better prepared by then. (Last night was the first time I even looked at this bike, or any of my off-road gear in over 7 months.)

Maybe we should bump over here http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...522958&page=36 and figure something out.

Sounds like Burningweeweeman got a Crotch Rocket.....

Does this mean we will be seeing him wandering around in brightly colored one piece skin tight leathers like a refugee from the Power Rangers?

Congrats on the new toy!

I believe the correct term for 'adult' in this case is 'graybeard'. oldmonkeybut and I qualify, but I dont know about the rest of you youngsters. The VFR straddles the line between crotch rocket and GT bike (smaller version of my K1200RS in that respect) and unfortunately a fair number fall into the hands of less sensible riders (read: idiot children) who are interested in impressing their friends or girls with stoppies, wheelies, burnouts, redline clutchless shifting and other silliness that tends to be hard on mechanical devices. They are a nice ride for covering ground quickly if the seating position suits you, and they make wonderful sounds.

So quit pickin on burningman fercryinoutloud. He has a nice bike now and we can abuse him for not showing up for big bike rides on slimey single track instead.

Oh, and BUMP

You probably scraped all the slime off that road with the boxes on the Battlestar ..... that reminds me of the other VFR weakness, limited luggage options.

I was considering those for my F800ST, but never saw a set up close to get a good look at them.
