That "training wheel" changes the whole program when things get slickery doesn't it.

I took the "Mantosser" out for a rip this afternoon at 13 degrees. Was a hoot until the carb iced up. Tried to get the KTM started but it was a lot to cold to play.

In my experience, anything with seats over the front axle rides worse than a buckboard wagon. I know you need to keep the seatbelt on in a UniMog so you stay in the seat over bumps.
