Where's that damn Honda Fit thread?

I need long term opinions and analysis STAT.

The short name "FIT" is wreaking havoc on the search.

This whole thread could fit in a Honda Fit.

Just back from Prudhoe Bay, IMO it was really worth the trip, AK is a beautiful place & you need lots of time to take it all in. I'm looking forward to returning & exploring some places i didn't have time to ride.RIP Ron Melton

It doesn't matter anymore.

Evidently, you can only trade in a full size pickup on another full sized pickup.

So, I'm keeping my truck.

Maybe. Is the pickup a half ton or bigger?

http://www.edmunds.com/cash-for-clunkers/faqs.html

Am I obligated to buy the same type of vehicle as I trade in? No. A Passenger Automobile can be traded in for either a Passenger Automobile or a Category 1 Truck. A Category 1 Truck can be traded in for either a Passenger Automobile or a Category 1 Truck. A Category 2 Truck can be traded in for a Passenger Automobile, a Category 1 Truck or a Category 2 Truck. A Category 3 Truck can be traded in for either a Category 2 Truck or a Category 3 Truck.

Category 1 Trucks are non-passenger automobiles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 8,500 pounds or less. This category includes sport-utility vehicles (SUVs), small and medium pickup trucks with a wheelbase of 115 inches or less, minivans and small and medium passenger and cargo vans with a wheelbase of 124 inches or less.

Category 2 Trucks are large pickup trucks with a wheelbase of more than 115 inches (such as the Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra) and large vans with a wheelbase greater than 124 inches (such as the Ford Econoline) with a GVWR less than or equal to 8,500 pounds.

Category 3 Trucks are very large pickup trucks with a cargo bed of 72 inches or more in length (such as the Ford F-350), SUVs and vans with a GVWR greater than 8,500 pounds and less than 10,000 pounds.

No- it was a Honda-only dealer.

According the the gum'ment, an extended cab fullsize is considered a "class 2 truck". you can only trade that in on another class 2 truck.

Says you can trade it in on a class one or passenger car.

Did you read it or did they tell you it?

A lot of dealers were turning people away this weekend because they're afraid they won't get compensated by the govt.

Coulda been trying to not sell you a car under the CfC program without pissing you off.
