seeking info on bmw 800 gs

Long term gs rider,,,Just sold my 08 1200 gs,that the gear box was such a POS,and 94 100 gspd...Loved the PD but just got tired of not being able to keep up with newer bikes...Was considering building up an early 800 gs,But a local AMA pro racer(Brian Parriot) that lives here in St Helena(napa valley)hes one...His has really cought my eye...He loves his...But would love any other info on it...After 20yrs as a gs rider Im sure i can reckon how it handles off road, but looking for any qurks...I hear the first year had a few probs, but dont find so many probs on the 09...thank you guys...GSjedi

great questions and I am sure they will be answered when this post gets moved to beasts! Since its your first post I think they will forgo the flogging!

Seems to be a great bike liked by most! Dual sport of the year in one of the magz!

This forum is "for sale" items.

Can we get a move from here mods?
