Question Input Needed On What Configuration To Sell a 2013 F800GS, Factory Lowered

The story:

Last year I did a bucket list and only had one thing after an 8 years hiatus from riding due to a bad back. One more dirt adventure with a young friend to the Colorado mountains. So I bought a WR250 and got it ready and a friend and I leave in about 4 weeks for Ouray. After a couple little rides I decided I needed something better for street rides, hence the F800GS. So now I have come to the conclusion that the GS is more bike than I needed and I probably will not take any long trips. So time to sell and get something smaller and lighter such as a G650 single or another DR650 like I had in 2005 when I quit riding.

Now, what configuration would be the best way to sell the 800. The bike is a 2013 factory lowered F800GS with 1900 miles.

1) Completely stock except for the addition of the factory LED driving lights which would be a pain to remove, LED conversions in turn signals and sell all my other goodies here on ADV.

2) Completely stock as above with the addition of the complete set of Vario cases including top box and both sides and sell rest here.

3) Now the expensive version. As above with the addition of the Tourtech seat, Cee Bailey 20 shield and bracket, Cee Bailey headlight protectors, Kaoko cruise, 2014 800GSA hand guards, SW-Motech foot pegs, SW-Motech shifter (beautiful part and works great in combo with the pegs), Wolfmann tank bag, and the best thing I did to this bike, a full set of Woodies tubeless wheels and new tires (19/17 combo) including a Supersprox. With the Woodies the bike rides better, stops better and the handling is far better on the street, especially the transition from left to right in the twisty stuff. The stock wheels and tires with about 600 miles on them would also be included as well as all stock parts.

So, what say the masses? I added up all the accessories and it is over $7500. Sell it more as a stocker and then the accessories that I know will sell here. Or fully loaded hoping to find someone that would want the bike due to the fact is has the tubeless set up for the street and then by just changing wheels and do the dirt.

Thanks for any input and if someone is interested in the Woodie wheel setup, let me know and I will put them up for sale in the Flea Market. They were about $2400 including tires from Woodies. The bike is in CA.

It's simpler than you think.

Sadly, most GS's end up looking pretty strutting around the street going for coffee. BMW owners are mostly show'n shine except for the Studly Adventurers here. Most won't appreciate what you've done nor will they pay extra for it.

I'd say 1 or 2. Factory accessories are good and desireable. Have 2 prices with/without luggage. They'll sell quick if not wanted by the new owner.

The rest of the stuff will sell in the FM if the guys aren't already after you with Woodies, uh I mean FOR the Woody's.
Seats and windscreens are very personal so likely will get changed anyay.

Pretend the bike is a girl and make it look as innocent and pretty as you can.

Reaver, thanks. This was my first thought also.

Since I posted, I just put a deposit on a G650GS, white one with spokes, demo with 1000 miles on it. The wife and I will go pick it up Saturday. I have to go to Denver later this year so will take my hubs and have Woodie lace up some Excels and make them tubeless like what I have on the F800.

I agree with Reaver. In addition to what he said, you will recover more money for the accessories by selling separately than you would by leaving them on the bike.

Be prepared for a feeding frenzy if your accessories are priced right.

Most of the parts are now up in FM except the Woody's. No interest so far but has only been a couple hours. I priced everything at about 2/3 of what I paid but am open to offers. Everything is boxed and ready to move out. So you 800 guys, get shopping. . I may get the Woody's up later tonight. Depending on whether the Vario's sell or not, they will maybe get listed with the bike.

Reaver, I might have a spare part you may want. I have the original left side handlebar switch assembly, from when they installed the LED spots, with the new one. Wow, it was $190 bucks for the new one with the built in button for the LED's.

I pick up the 650 tomorrow morning.

Sadly, my bikes are 2012 and earlier. 2013's have the different bars and switches.
