Los Burros/Willow Creek road drops you back down to HWY1 just north of

Willow Creek to 1.
Thanks Scott

Roads don't seem to be affected:

I should point out that riding your MC on forest trails in that area will carry an extra penalty... I called the District Office and the nice lady on the phone said only "Slick Rock" trail through the closure area is affected; SCRR is open!

Too confusing eh? roads are open and the plan is still on! Only hiking trails are affected in the area.

I just got home from seven days/six nights camping down at Kirk
Creek campground. It was absolutely beautiful down there and
yes, SCRR is open. You could also have open campfires in the
USFS campgrounds which was very nice for this time of year.

Conditions on SCRR could change due to weather but if this ride
is still on, I'm in!!!

That's what I was down there for. Seven days of surf at Willow -
no need to venture anywhere else. Mid-week my friend John and I had
it all to ourselves for hours, more surf than you could ride. Smallest days
were head high/ head high plus. The bigger days were 8'-10' on the face
with bigger 12' sets sweeping through to keep you thinking.

Hi Gester.
Hey Gangplank! Let me know if having a place to crash in San Jo' Friday night, thereby splitting up the gettin' there leg, would make that weekend work. Should be a blast!

I'm willing to share up my group campsite location off of Los Burros Rd.

It's big bike friendly, as long as your friendly with your
big bike.

So, how many going so far? Who is going from Bay area? I may take my 640. Where is the campsite? Any hotel options?

BTW, Tom from KTM in Santa Cruz told me few years ago that he knows all of these roads south of Santa Cruz.
