.will see kids later for 1st time since feb/mar?
.very nervous & anxious, but really looking forward to seeing them :-)

In other news it has become apparent that the flatmate is due to give birth this week, and is intent on a home birth with little or no interventional support...

First world championship lead for the BMW S 1000 RR.

So, as I said some time ago, now wait for the 2012 MotoGP engine regulations, and the convergence of the MotoGP & World Superbike series, and we have BMW* in MotoGP?

*That is, above & beyond the existent Suter MotoGP, with BMW engine...

Quote - This is a build log for the customization of a 1992 BMW K75 motorcycle. I’m recording my process and experience during the construction of my first “custom”. Technical information, irrational ranting, cautionary examples – it’s all here.

Welcome to K75 Projeckt, please enjoy in moderation. End quote.

I note with amusement that the inspiration comes from ratted Ks in Oxfraud (99?), and that his mechanic bloke is, here we go, called DAVE!?!

"In those final moments before walking out on to the field, I was suddenly drenched with warm, sticky liquid from high above, where some of the rowdy, 50,000-strong audience looked down on to the players' access ramp. Only as I began the inaudible first verse of Thick as a Brick on acoustic guitar, did I realise with resigned horror that the liquid I assumed to be beer, was not, in fact, beer at all... "

I have a few gigs fighting for the top spot, so, in no particular order except that which in they come to mind... the winners are - In the 'Room @ the Top' @ the Harp Club in New Cross SE London. supporting the 'South Coast Trash Sound' of Emptifish, a style otherwise known as Portsmouth Rockabilly Twang. 30th Dec '85. Our opening Track was derived from a far better song (by Lusean of what was then 'Luceus Charm)', which was also called 'Fuck You'. I can't say the sentiment of the track went down at all well with the narrowly assorted very pissed (UK meaning) & very pissed (US meaning) butch bunch o' 'Rokkabile' punters, and by the end of the 2nd chorus one of them let off a CS gas canister & cleared the venue. What ensued included us cowering in the locked venue stairwell while all exits were blocked by violently unhappy be-quiff-ed ejectees. We were eventually escorted from the site by the polis, tho I was all for charging into the crowd of RB's screaming 'COME ON THEN YOU GREEZY ASSED GERONTOPHILES, NEVER PICK A FIGHT WITH A MAN WITH A DEATH WISH!?!'

Other gigs were outstanding, but right now I can't be bothered

Pictured - 'Incomiiiiiing' Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull spots a projectile heading his way.
