Its time

Ok guys.

Thanks so much for the support.

Now it is time for another adventure. The plan, and only plan is $4k, 4 Months and Wisconsin to the tip of South America...

Hopfully I will be able to earn enough independent study credits from UW Milwaukee to have the GI Bill pay for the whole trip, but either way it is on.

More to come

just ran into this RR today ....

and I was about to suggest you stop whatever you are doing and get back to your calling in life - Riding and Riting gr8 Ride Reports. Glad to hear you are doing just that. When do you launch ...

Awesome...

Thanks for the words yellowknife.

I will be leaving immediately after this fall semester of school. I am taking Spanish, documentary video, photography and creative writing just for the trip :)

Great! Any details? Like what bike you're using?

The New Plan

As it stands my plan for South and Central America is to leave immediately after the semester ends from Milwaukee and head for the border.

Currently I have a 1977 Yamaha XS750 and cannot decide whether I will take her on the journey of her life(probably not to return), or try and snag a 250(ish)cc enduro type bike. Id love to take the 77 but worry about her condition, availability of parts, and functionality on the roads I will find. But hell, maybe these issues will just make a more exciting trip.

I am getting so excited about this next adventure that it has become hard to sleep.

This Sheet just got real

Its a good day. I met a great kid named Nate on Craigslist who has sold me my steed for South America.

It is a 1974 Suzuki TS185 and a real beauty (dents, spraypaint, rust and torn). I will post pics soon or perhaps it is time I start a new thread. She is going to need some work for sure and I will need some guidance.

Great RR, catchy title, outstanding photography. Glad I found it.
Good luck on the SA trip.
I'll be heading that way later this year. Christmas in Ushuaia is the plan.
