[QUOTE=shearboy2004;20264596]Across the pond but bloody good stuff !

Thanks for that ! The first roadrace I ever attended was at Mallory Park and saw Peter Williams and Croxford there at the Match Races. The next yr or so later I saw the same Williams JPN racing at Mosport.

Jeepers, it's a wonder spectators didn't get killed at those tracks back then.

Love the AFM decal on the front of Mamola's bike at the Match races.

Judging from the logo on the helmet. I'd say it's Carl Fogarty's father, George.

I know that the Loudon/Laconia track was way different back then, before the car oval, but the bowl used to be ran in the opposite direction then today huh?
And is the TZ in that last pic a 250 or 350 twin? I can't see if it has 2 other pipes sticking out.Not sure if it is a 500 or 750 four cyl.
Great thread.

750/4. The TZ750, a later model one. I have a ton of pictures I'll post later.

AAMRR ran 1 race a year backwards called Noduol.
I loved it because it was heavy on the leftys.

Finally got the chance to watch that. Great stuff! "The TT is not a race between the quick and the dead. It's to separate the men from the boys." If we could've seen into the future we wouldn't have believed it.
