When my mood gets too hot and I find myself wandering beyond control I pull out my motor-bike and hurl it top-speed through these unfit roads for hour after hour. My nerves are jaded and gone near dead, so that nothing less then hours of voluntary danger will prick them into life..."

Rally Help

Rick,
I can help Drink Beer, & Eat. I'll also bring plenty of Tarp Rope for all riders to tie up tarps and tents, bring the ADVriders Banner, and ANYTHING else you may need a hand with at the site. We should have some planning time in front of us, but keep me in mind if I can help! You did a GRAET JOB last time! Thanks for getting the ball rolling for next year!

Boojum!

Chicken dinner sounds good...so do the forest roads, I would like to know more about that area. The fishing looks like it could be mighty good in those parts.

Thumb It's All Good

Good to hear from you guys .Rocker the fishing is killer truot and some great float fishing on some of the local small mouth rivers .white water rafting on the upper french broad river is very good too!

First thing we need to do is pick a date . This is where the less plan is better folks are dead wrong. If I don't book this with the campground waaay a head of time so as not to cause a conflict with the regularly scheduled and special events they will not be happy ,and possibly very difficult.
Last year the event was on the first weekend in june .

ps Boojum you rawk bring on the banner and the rope

Well it is a long way off but we wish we went to Hot Springs last year but family came up , definate maybe's. As far as dates go August seems to have been slow this year with rally's and such. Seems to be more going on earlier in the season so why not give us something to do in mid August?

I suggest we kick it back to early May where we had it before.

I believe that The Georgia Mountain Rally in Hiawassee, Georgia is held the first weekend of May and there was a good ADVrider turnout at that event. Now as far as I'm concerned since I'm in the general area I could hang for another week. Might even prefer it to turn out that way.
Let me see your thumb.

We would have to choose between the two, no way we can take that much time off. GMR would probably win, I think that DG and the BYOB both need to be scheduled around the other big events that many of us normally go to.
