Good seeing you guys, sorry I missed the rest.
Damn, spacewife and I stopped at the top for a bit at the top of 33 at the pull off and also at the Stevarino memorial pay phone at the gas station in Brandy but didn't see any of you FF's - damn. Also swung in at the watering hole in Sperryville - say one MPY GS coming toward us on Crest Hill Rd, and a couple guys on 211 on the east side of Thornton's Gap, that was about it.

Anybody here want to fess up to being on Crest Hill Rd this PM?

Who Crashed ???

Well - you wouldn't know, would you?

In reality, nobody crashed, but 4 of us were left behind at Snickersville Turnpike. I went straight when the group went left - how would I know - and we were pretty much done.

Paul took us back to where he believes the group went left. Then we stopped at the next "supposed" left the group took.

And we waited. While waiting, I decided I'd ride my own ride, and anyone who wanted to come was welcome, and if not, you better haul ass to catch the other 8ish riders.

So, a nice thanks to everyone who came back to see if 4 riders were 1) lost, 2) crashed, or 3) maybe flatted ?

Thanks, really feelin' the ADVRider group ride love

Barry

ps - The four of us had 360 drama-free, scenic miles... And we saw Poonie!

Sorry Barry...the reports I got at the front was that you guys "chose" to keep straight....one of us was waiting at the turn on Airmont Rd. He said ya'll just blew right by.

That was not the love I intended. Nor did I intend to lead 14 fast a shit riders all over Va and WVa. No wrecks on my end.

The fucking tire is shot...cord broken and totally fucked. $100 ride right there. I still got in 450 "relaxing" stress free miles.

Poonie, you talking about my trashed Z6 or my gut? By the way, Z6's rail!

And that is my Club jacket YFF...

No problem. I am forwarned for future group debacles.

Personally, I stick very firm to a group etiquette - If I choose to peel off I tell someone, so I don't waste someone's time making them look for me or wonder if I'm dead. Or not... depends upon the group.

Well I guess I am fired as "Ride Captain".

Sorry for the mix up, but we did have confirmation that you guys were still up and we did do the ride we talked about, except for no going to Summit Point Rd.

Is that where you guys waited?

It was still cool to meet some new people. Enjoyed the hell out of the ride despite this "disconnect".

Hmmm - not sure where we waited... We took a left of Snickersville to go south, then there was another left where you went east (we think) and we took a right. I got our route - I'll post it up if I load it on my laptop anytime soon.

As long as you guys got the word we weren't dead, I'll call it a very fair mistake. Hell, I got ownership in the fuckup, I apparently blew past someone waiting for us. My bad. Damn - I've never made a mistake before. ARGH !

I'm glad everyone had a good time. I know we did.

Barry

Oh - Steve, I had wheel weights to give you... forgot.

Give the weights to Poonie next time you see him.

I was talkin about Barry's rear tire with his RT or RS rims. Its about a foot wide but he is only using about 1/4 of it as far as I can tell

What did you hit, and why do they rock if they go flat and bend your rim???
And WTF are you doing on the KRS, was it squid day?

They rock in that all the issues I had wth the KRS are gone and dragging pegs can be done on a whim.

Not sure what I hit, I was dicking in my tank bag fooling with the radio....need mount ......and felt it, did not seem that bad. Then the tire went flat. Sucks to be me.....oh well.

Did Barry ride today?

Just got home about 20 mins ago. 9:30

Damm steve, that was one of the best rides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

Barry, we all thought you and the gs gang decided to hit some gravel roads. It was odd not seeing any of the gs's and the ktm adventure. Xsquiggy called you but you didnt answer, so we assumed you were out riding.

goddam, 560miles for me.. Definatly memorable!!!!

BTW, we stumbled upon a bad wreck on route 33. The guy broke his arm, and his ducati monster.

Enjoyed it also, glad you guys did too.

KRS's are slow and too big to ride agressively.

Who was the old guy on the KRS? Yo Steve, fess up. Next time you see a post from Stinez, tell him that I said you suck too.

Hey PhilII missed your post....that pass was payback for all the times on trackdays where they scream in the straights and camp in the turns. I love that stretch. Can you tell?
